Itinerary (may be customised)

Day 1 Phnom Penh – Kompong Chham – Kompong Thom - 230km

After a good breakfast we will start from our shop and we will get used to the fresh maintained bikes and the chaotic traffic of Cambodia.

We will ride through a nice small fishing village with friendly people along the Mekong River. Kompong Cham will be the place for lunch. We will continue our motorcycle tour through a rubber plantations near Kompong Cham and arrive around 5pm in Kompong Thom.

Day 2 Kompong Thom – Sambour Preah Kuk – Tbeang Meanchey – 180km

In the morning we will visit the temples of Sambour Preah Kuk. A guide will bring us around the 1000-year-old temple complex and will explain us the history of the Khmer culture.
A long gravel road leads us to Tbeang Meanchey. To enjoy the ride we will get off the road if there is enough time. This evening we will enjoy a traditional BBQ resturant.

Day 3 Tbeang Meanchey– Preah Vihear temple – Chaom Khsan – 150km

One of the most significant temples in Cambodia is the Prasath Preah Vihear on a 500m high plateau on the borderline to Thailand. We will explore this site for an hour before we get to Chaom Khsant, a nearby village on the edge of the Dangrek Mountains in the North of Cambodia where will stay overnight.

Day 4 Choam Khsan – Koker – Siem Reap - 230km

Since the 2004 it is possible for tourists to see the temple of Koker again. The Khmer Rouge during the civil war in the 70's has heavily mined them. As it is safe now the less travelled place of Cambodia will be our destination for lunch.

In the evening we will reach Siem Reap and might enjoy a traditional seeing hands massage made by blind people.

Day 5 Siem Reap - 100km

Visit of the great Angkor Wat temple and surrounding temples like Boeung Mealea.

In the afternoon we will ride up to the Tonle Sap Lake to discover the floating villages and the fishermen lifestyle.

Day 6 Siem Reap – Prasat Bakan – Kompong Thom – 190km!

No any journey through Cambodia without seeing the UNESCO World Heritage “Angkor Wat”! After a explorer trip in the morning to see the sunrise over the temple we will get on the bikes again and ride along the Route 66 to one of the most hidden temples of Cambodia the Prasat Preah Khan. These old ruins are also a must seen place for motorcycle travellers in Cambodia.

Day 7 Kompong Thom – Phnom Penh - 160km

We will go for few kilometres on the highway to see some artist carving Buddha statues out of sand stone near the Santuk Mountains. We will cross the Tonle Sap by ferry and have a look to the small fishing villages on the river.

Around 5pm we will get back to our base in Phnom Penh. After this ride there will be a lot to talk. So lets meet in the evening for a cold beer on the Riverside!

Day 8 Phnom Penh – Kampong Speu - Kirirom National Park - 130km

We will head off to Phnom Basseth the nearest mountain to Phnom Penh with a small temple on top, friendly monks in saffron coloured robes and a scenic view on the  mountains of Kirirom. We will ride to the West on small trails, gravel roads and along green rice fields then reach Kirirom National Park before sunset.

Accommodation: Guest house with basic comfort or Kirirom Resort with AC, Sat TV, hot shower and swimming pool or special jungle adventure camping overnight on request.

Day 9 Kirirom National Park – Kep – Rabbit Island - 110km

Our destination today is Rabbit Island in the South of Cambodia. Along the Bokor Mountains we ride through remote villages, off the beaten tracks and enjoy the nice mountain scenery of this area. One of the most known peppers in the world is the pepper of Kampot. We will have a look how the locals produce it.

In the late afternoon a boat will take us to the island where a colourful sunset is waiting for us. And of course... on the beach, we will enjoy seafood like Barracuda BBQ or shrimps with a Kampot pepper sauce!

Day 10 Rabbit Island – Kampot - Phnom Penh - 160km

We will start the day with a nice seafood breakfast in Kep market then we will explore a cave in a hill with an ancient temple inside. Some young kids will help us through. We will
have our lunch on the top of Phnom Chisor, one of the first ancient temples in Cambodia. But we have to walk up around 300 steps before we can enjoy the beautiful scenery around this area, 360° panorama view from Phnom Da and Tonle Bati to Phnom Tamao. We will be back to Phnom Penh around 5pm.
